Descaling removes calcium deposits that slow down water flow.
- Solution: Fill the reservoir with Keurig Descaling Solution (or white vinegar) and water (1:1 ratio).
- Cycle: Run “cleansing brews” (no pod) repeatedly until the tank is empty.
- Rinse: Fill the tank with fresh water and run cleansing brews until empty again to flush the taste.
- Important for K-Supreme: You must enter “Descale Mode” (hold the 8oz and 12oz buttons) to reset the light.
This is usually caused by clogged needles. Coffee grounds get stuck in the exit needle (bottom) or entrance needle (top).
The Fix: Straighten a paper clip. Open the handle and carefully insert the paper clip into the metal needle holes to loosen the grounds. Run a water-only brew to flush it out.
- Most Models: Look for a sticker on the bottom of the brewer (you must turn it over).
- K-Mini: Sometimes located on the back panel or behind the removable drip tray.
